Vijay Bhand, has a background in the liberal arts, with a degree in Economics and Psychology from Fergusson College, Poona. Later he did his Masters in Management from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Bombay . Specializing in Marketing, he moved into Advertising & Marketing as first choice. Working with some of the leading advertising agencies of the time, like ASP, Ulka, Lintas, Contour and Advertising Avenues, he has handled many major, national brands. Vijay specialized in strategy planning for brand building. He has also worked with Golden Tobacco Ltd., developing marketing plans for various brands and selling them.

         In addition to holding down full time jobs, Vijay has been visiting faculty at various institutes like Narsee Monjee of Management Studies, Xavier Institute of Communications, Ashoka Mehta Institute of Management & Research, New Bombay and Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Sciences. Vijay has attended an advanced management programme at IIM Ahmedabad, as well as various other seminars, on a host of topics in Bombay.

         In 1995, Vijay started his own H.R & Corporate Training Consultancy. As a student of the Late Dr. S. K. Basu (ex director of the Bajaj Institute), Vijay was invited as guest faculty on almost all of Dr. Basu's training programmes for the Piramal & J.K. Groups, on whose boards Dr. Basu used to be. A few of his recent facilitations have been for clients like Aditya Birla Group, Mahindra British Telecom, Patni Ltd., T Systems Ltd., KPIT Cummins Infotech Ltd.., Veritas Software, Mphasis Software, Suzlon Windfarm Ltd., Indian Express, etc.

          Vijay's vision has always been Strategic Organizational (and HR) Consulting as well as training in Effective Business Presentations, Effective Business Communication Skills, Excellence in Selling Skills and behavioural training. He has spent most of his training days on Excellence in selling skills, Customer Service Excellence as well as behavioural skills to include Team Building & Team Leading, Motivation, Attitudinal Change, Leadership Skills, Negotiation Skills, Goal Setting and Assertiveness training. Vijay's philosophy is to see measurable results in people , which are long lasting and add to healthier bottom lines of client companies.
